Versatile 256 - buy?

I am thinking about buying a Versatile 256 for about c$20k.

I understand from reading some of this board that on some earlier models the engine could be a weak point and also the axel dropbox.

If anyone wanted to confirm these as things to watch out for on this model or point out other trouble spots, I'd appreciate it. Also, assuming average condition, is this price reasonable?

All comments, suggestions, advice appreciated as I don't really know very much about Versatile.
