Dave, I have a JD 430 L&G with 3 cyl. diesel engine that I bought new 18 years ago . I have all four tires filled with fluids and it would be real hard to turn it over. I have the same problem you do with mowing hilly terrain and this 430 is like a billy goat when it comes to getting around. They come w/power steering, hyd. remotes and mine has the 60"MMM, rear pto and 3pt hitch option. It is the predecessor to the JD 455 easyboy mentioned and I see some decent looking ones around in the $4500-5000 range. Mine has really been a low maintenance work horse.
