Good Day of Mowing

I just put in a good day of mowing. After a wet winter here in Calif, we have a good crop of weeds. Since I do custom mowing I am one of the few who welcome weeds. My Massy with the three cyl perkins didn't miss a beat all day. These three cyl perkins seam to be fairly dependable and enough power, to power a 6 ft mower. Has any one out there used a larger mower with a 3 cyl perkins, or is this about the limit (6ft) ?
