ZERO-TURN MOWERS

I read with interest the recent discussions of grass mowing. I have some questions:

1. Does a 60 inch zero-turn mower actually cut better than a 3ph 60 inch finishing mower which goes behind the tractor, or just faster? How/Why?

2. I assume a 60 inch would scalp less than a 72 inch (My grass is somewhat uneven). What are the good used 60 inch machines to look for? Anything in particular to watch out for? Thanks!
