I have never heard that about the Ford automatic in the Superduties. He must have a crappy dealer if they respond by saying its not a problem. I have heard they are having problems with the new 6 speed manual, it doesn't stand up to the Powerstroke (and probably won't stand up to the V10 in the long run). The older Ford 5 speed in the 3/4 and 1 tons is pretty much bullet proof with either the gas or diesel engines. The last couple 1 tons where bought with AT just because of the questionable 6 speeds.
