I also have two acres with about a dozen or so big trees on it. I bought a Swisher finishing mower that offsets behind my lawn tractor. I now have a 9' wide cut. It doesn't bog and it looks like a golf course when finished. My local TSC sells them for around 1400 but once a year they close out old inventory and they always have 2 or 3 to sell for 800 with faded paint. It took a couple of times to get used to the corners but now it's a cake walk. It has a zero radius adapter for the hitch that helps, and has edging rollers which allows you to pull it tightly around a tree without damage. Got too close to a fence post? No problem, it slides right around it. Best solution, maybe not, but I'm down to 1 hour mowing versus almost 3 before. I put it behing the 4 wheeler to mow fence lines in the pastures, and around trees after shredding.
