For pulling i'd get the diesel. I'll bet you the gas will get 10 to 12 loaded, not much better empty. The diesel will get 14 to 18, "maybe" close to 20 empty, depending on how big a load, hills, and wind.
I've been watching this pretty close on forums just to see how my diesels compare to others, and that's what i see most are getting as an average. I like the Duramax better than the ford, but, i'd sure like to have the Chevy with a Cummins!
