Dean, First, thank you for your feedback. Thirty-two hundred dollars seems to be an average price for the older tractors in this area. A dealer is selling a work Ford 600 series for $3500. An 8N w/ rebuilt engine and new paint is listed for $3600. The old tractors sell well. I'm not a mechanic or a farmer. I'm buying an old tractor because of the budget and a bias. Mechanical reliability is important. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions. respectfully, Jim
