A friend of mine just had the same thing happen to him. He ended up getting a cashiers check for way more than he was asking for the tractor. He was cautious and had a bank call the bank on which the check was supposedly drawn. That bank had not issued the check. Apparently they are not interested in any tractors, just preying on your honesty in sending them the "extra" money that they sent you, hoping they get their money before you realize that their cashiers check is a phony one.
