I had this idea for getting the younger people involved in our hobby. I haven't suggested it to my local club yet, and I don't know if we could really do it (due to various problems), but here goes: Get the local school to have a field trip to your tractor show! Have free admission for them, and maybe have a tour set-up so owners of tractors can explain things about them. Have something operating-dynometer, baker fan, or if you're careful, a saw, etc. Maybe have an old to new tractor lineup? Various equipment-cultivators, plows, etc. I think it would be best to "target" the younger kids, about 10-14 years old? What do you think? The major problems for us would be that our show is mainly a Saturday and Sunday event (most people are busy bringing stuff in on Friday), and of course schools aren't open then!
