With reduced tillage organic material increases this creates more food and cover for the worms. If you plow or deep disc you destroy the channels created by the burrowing worm. The trash from the previous crop keeps the rain from packing the soiland the roots rot creating more channels.

All of my land is tiled as I am surrounded by creeks and my land is below their level. The fields are systamaticlly tilled and pumped dry . If your land is always wet you may have to look to having tile installed. The difference is un believable. No till is only part of the equation all other things must be in balance as well.
