I remember in the mid-70s when the national
news was talking about stations being out of
gas, long lines for fuel and the sky falling. My
folks in Colo. Springs were saying that it was
all true there but in W. Central Illinois where I
was living at the time we had all the gas we
wanted at the same price as before Nixon
dropped the speed limit to "meet our national
energy crisis"! The only 'crisis' we had was the
politicians and the big oil companies. Just my
opinion..........
