There are other limiting factors for the GVW of a trailer. I eginnered mine for 10,000 but have 2 7,000 axles. Those other factors may be Hitch, frame, springs. Many of the utility trailers are unsafe at their rated GVW because they were poorly designed withour calculating the requirements to carry the load. Many are also over built which limits the load carrying capacity. I saw one with 14x30 WF beams and a 14 ft span and only 2 10,00 axles. Enough frame for 36,000
