I just purchased an 8n with Erskine blower (the v pull type) Don't have a lot of experience using it yet. The previous owner said if the snow is too deep he would put the loader down and push some snow at the same time. He said the first pass is the hardest and you may have to take two passes. The blower I have has a two foot side extension wing. I assume it would work well for deep snow so you wouldn't have to drive right through it. Haven't tried it yet though. The wing is home made. Round blade with two pipes welded to it. Then two larger pipes welded to the blower. Smaller pipes on ext blade slip into pipes on blower and lock into place with a bolt. Blower doesn't seem to throw the snow too far. Prev. owner said to keep the spout pointed the dirrection the pto turns and it will throw a bit farther. Also use the wind to your advantage. Hope this helped a little. I'm no expert yet because of lack of snow here this year. (NW MN)
