Does your lift raise in a jerky motion? or smooth, but just won't stay up? Each of these are important. You can buy a kit that is not all that exensive. You might as well convert it from the old steel ring piston to the later O ring type while you.re at it. Make sue you honme the cylinder out good. Those steel rings leave some sharp edges, Drain the oil, pull the PTO shaft, remove both of the left and right side covers (PTO lever on the left) Drop the pump out of the bottom. Replace the relief valve, clean the pump and the poppett valves in the pump. If it lifts in a jerky motion, one of these is usually stuck open. Do one step at atime and everything will fall into place. If you want to convert your olddraft control only lift to a draft and position control, I have seen ZANE THANG ADvertise a kit for this changeover. Good luck.
