a three bottom plow would work better. If the four bottom plows are cheaper and easier to find. Then buy a four bottom semimounted plow and remove one bottom. An Oliver can have the front bottom removed and the two point drawbar assembley moved over to achive a very good working three bottom. On other plows may have to cut off the last bottom and tailwheel assembly and weld the tail wheel assembly back on. Try a major consignment auction first. In Ohio at TriGreens Equipment in London Ohio, I bought an Allis Chalmers three bottom semimount for $270. Olivers and John Deeres 4 bottoms in same shape were bringing 250 to 400. I wanted a Case 3-18 semimounted in great shape however it went for $950. Also had three bottom International semimounted plows there also, 200-250.
