Dear Steve,
just to let you know the Australian SAS fought with the Americans in Afghanistan. Our defence forces are very small compared to the US and our current previous commitment to peace keeping in East Timor has already stretched our defence budget. The world is not a simple place as you all feel. We live in a relatively unstable part of the world and to send a large portion of our army overseas could result in a lack of our defences. Damon
