Liked this. I had a friend (business associate -now deceased) who was a merchant seaman in WWII who told of an incident in enemy waters of south Pacifc and a high wave came over air intake stack stopping the diesel engine. He opened compression releases, ran air starter to expell water then pured a 5 gallon can of gasoline into air intake while air starter running. As contents of can became empty the engine started knocking and finally started. Glad we had such men during the great war!
