Powerblocks are blocks that I believe were built by TSC back in the day. They had a substantially larger bore than stock, but the overbore started a ways down the cylinder to allow the use of the factory head and headgasket. The bore was actually "stepped" in diameter. And no, a "G" block of any style will not fit in an "A". Look at the difference in width of the framerails at the block in an "A" and a "G", and it becomes readily apparent that it would never work. The "G" is substantially wider between the frame rails where the block rests. I believe that some of the "A" powerblocks will give you a bore close to if not larger than a stock "G" bore, which is 6.125".
