The timing point is in the bottom of the flywheel housing inside the hole. There will be a a top dead center mark. If youy have not removed your distributor, you can pull the cap and see when your rotor points toward # 1 cylinder. You will be close then to finding the mark. If you have removed the distributor, you will need to find out of you are top dead center on compression or exhaust. You will remove # 1 spark plug to determine this. When you have the pointer lined up, loosen your mounting bolts, rotate the distributor housing IN THE DIRECTION THEROTOR TURNS. until the points have closed. Turn the switch on and just barely , gentlt rotate the distributor back the other way until the exact instant thepoints open. You may have todo this several times to getit just right. Take your time and get it right. Lock it down with the bolts and the timing is set. Good luck.
