Sure heard of something like that before. More then likely it was a smaller coyote too. That is because it was a female trying to get your dog to fallow her away from the buildings. And then others would have been about to kill your dog. Heard of this a few times here in southern wis. But a dump coyote around here any more is a dead one. They are very brazen when trying to lure dogs out. But that just gets them killed if the home owner is prepared.
