I think change every 3000 change filter also. Used to change every 2000 but newer oil and everything longer might be just as good.I drive a school bus put alot miles on it each day 195 or more.Drove 1991 chev 350 gas 250 to 300 a day. It had 175000 on when they put in reserve and was running better when i quite driving it than it did new. And used less oil. They used tropartic 10-30. Now i drive a 2000 chev with diesel engine rotala 15 40 change every 3000 no problems so far.Bus has 70000 miles. My opinion and $1.00 might get you a cup of coffee in the right place.
