1) Figure out how many power outlets and air quick connects you need and then double those numbers.
2) Install skylights.
3) Have at least one 16 ft wide x 10 ft high overhead door.
4) Install an exhaust fan in each end of building.
5) Build on a six inch minimum thick slab with extra rebar in the area where heavy shop equipment will be located.
6) Install a bathroom with a shower.
7) Have twelve foot interior ceilings minimum.
8) Design in several "skyhooks" in the rafters to which you can hook a small hoist.
