Lee I can shed some light on the knock,but cant help with shimmy I got a B that does the same thing and I haven't found its problem. The engine knock is you got to much end play on flywheel,loosen flywheel bolts and obseve crankshaft to flywheel position,then go to clutch side and take a big block of wood and give the end of crank a big slap then engage clutch ok now go around to flwheel side(the flywheel to thrust is 6 thous. hard to measure tight quarters) take the big block of wood (6x6) and drive the flywheel over then tighten bolts.I wouldn't sweat the clearance to much,because it probably will be alright. Start the tractor and drive around and see if your knock isn't gone. If it's still there hollar back Gman
