I've thought about this before myself. I play with old snowmobiles and generate a fair amount of bad gas. Unfortunately I think that theres alot of problems with this, but I've thought I could get a cheapo gas lawnmower motor and run it off that gas. Then hook it to a generator or something and use the power for free heat or some such. Problems: Low quality of the fuel. I think this wouldn't be that big a deal if I add some heet or carb cleaner to the gas before running it and then only use it in a warm motor. My idea here was to figure out a way to pipe on a separate fuel tank with the "recovered" fuel and switch to it once the motor got up to operating temp, then switch back when I wanted to shut down. Another big problem is water, hence the need for heet. Figure you'd have to have a good way to get the larger volumes of water out, like skim it off the top... If you figure something out, post and tell us!
