The HiCas Tractor Stability Studies show hands down absolutely that the tricycle tractor is nowhere near as stable as a 4 wheel layout is. They had tricycle gear tractors tipping over at a mere 16 degrees. 4 wheel utility tractors were able to go up to 45 degrees. All that said, depending on your particular land a tricycle may not ever encounter any stability problems. Lastly, the most important stability device on any tractor is the operator.
