My dad and neighbor in the sixties cut silage together the neighbor had a 450 on the single row cutter . my dad had a G with a tractor supply power block . They always argued about witch one had the most power So they put the G on the cutter and the neighbor got on to show the rest of the crew what a dog it was he put it in about 3rd gear and took off across the field and in a hundred yards it had the blower belt broke and the universal joints broke The 450 should have more power But the johnDeere has alot more torque witch with a 2 cylinder is real hard on the PTO.
