I have a row crop 4000, which is basically the same as your 961. Between mowing on side hills and dragging down dirt piles, I've had it on some pretty steep inclines. It has never showed any indication that it might tip over. I have chloride ballast in both front and rear tires, and I'm sure that helps.

One thing to watch out for: Stay off of slippery side hills. If your tractor starts sliding sideways, there's a very good chance it will roll over when it hits the bottom of the hill. I know someone who was nearly killed this way. This goes for wide front tractors as well.

When in doubt, play it safe. If the hill looks too steep, it probably is.
