My Dad told me his longest tractor ride was 6 miles to the local hospital when he lost 4 fingers of his right hand in a cornpicker. He drove his Ford in subzero January weather (Minnesota)and made it to the door of the emergency room before passing out. They might have attempted to resotre his fingers but in the early 80's there weren't as many surgeons available in rural hospitals. He always praised that tractor for it road speed.
