When my uncle was mustered out in 1946 in El Paso, tractors were hard to get. He saw a new 2n Ford in El Paso and drove it about 600 miles to Dallas area. About 12 years ago in Minn, someone stole a 1066 Farmall and drove it 80 miles before being caught. As a kid in the 50s, i often drove 30 miles to do custom work. I had a Ferguson with overdrive and it was almost scarey.
