Well put.
The few who jumped the gun and shouted at you prematurely, instead of simply asking the question nicely and then arguing their case in a dignified manner(which obviously would not have arisen), are quite at liberty to find somewhere else. I doubt they will be missed by the huge number of satisfied surfers and frankly I think they may be more likely to be among the few who 'stir' up the site on occasions instead of all trying to co-exist whatever their likes and dislikes.
