Seriously, I don't think you will have any trouble going either way. I travel to the US several times each year and have hauled antique tractors both ways with no problem. Sometimes I don't even have to get out of the truck. Sometimes they will want to verify where the tractor was made. The US guys like to take $5.00 off you for commercial use of a private vehicle. On any given day you can get a better or worse customs officer to deal with. Watch your mouth when replying to questions. Attempts at candor are met with an "expression of who's in control here". That might mean opening your trunk or being invited inside. This goes for either side. Neither side likes guns- what do you need it for. Unless it's hunting season and you are obviously equipped to go hunting. If you lie about something small- what else might you lie about or what else is there about your character they might be interested in. I think only criminal convictions can prevent entry and not necessarily even that.
It's business at the border and keep it that way. There are more frequent checks at the border since 9/11 and as long as you have proper ID, not hideing something, keep it busuness you won't have any trouble either way. After you cross the border going either way you won't really notice the difference except for the speed signs mph/kmh. Both sides are interested in what is coming into the country and that includes repairs done to your when returning home. The Canadian customs usually ask that question when returning home to Canada.

Today's Featured Article - Field Modifications (Sins of the Farmer) - by Staff. Picture a new Chevrolet driving down the street without it's grill, right fender and trunk lid. Imagine a crude hole made in the hood to accommodate a new taller air cleaner, the fender wells cut away to make way for larger tires, and half of a sliding glass door used to replace the windshield. Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a ...
