Your right about the flywheel, I often mark the flywheel and the crankshaft. If nothing more, to make it easier to line up when installing. "Some" flywheels will bolt up in any orientation, then of course, some only line up one way. The ones that will go anyway will/may have problems, such as vibration, timing marks....
As far as marking clutch plates and pressure plates, I can't see much sense in that.
