Sounds like you need a new thermostat.....cut, card board to fit over about 3/4 of the radiator until you can get it fixed......keep an eye on the temp. guage ......a trick from the good old days......you have to use your head, nothing automatic about this.....you also may have to make the cover larger or smaller ....your temp guage will tell you.....
