Thanks for all the super helpful info folks. I did have the right type of alternator out in my collection of junkque in the barn. Looks like it has been rebuilt fairly recently to boot. A little chilly to be tinkering with it right now as it is about 5 degrees and snowing this morning and I don't have a heated shop (even if I did have room to get it in) Going to spend the day in the basement rebuilding the old W-1 Carter carb for my 1935 Chevy Standard. I wonder what kind of trouble that can be : )
