Join, first think of something, type of job, you would like to do, then join the service that provides that. Me, I wanted infrantry, except wasn't much of a call for it when I got out. After I got out of the Army I joined the NG. Between the two I have just short of 25 years. Got good collage benifits too. After 3 - 4 years you will be ready for collage and they will flip the board. All my boys (and wife too) were/aren in the military, regular/reserve or both. none are sorry they made the choice. Then when you get to be old folks like the rest of us here, you'll have stories to tell. God Bless
