Interesting point, Deere is the primary user of purely wet clutches. Lots of folks use lots of these dry clutch Fords (and Case/David Browns, IH's, etc) and get along just fine. Even a lot of the Deere's have dry clutches on the flywheel. Fixed a JD 29xx for a guy couple of months ago, dry clutch was stuck to the flywheel. Point of reference, with most (not all) salesmen "whatever they happen to be selling is exactly what you need".
