Stan,you might try any crank.....be sure you try it with the engine switch turned "OFF" first..be sure your thumb is on the same side of the handle as your fingers and pull, on"THE UP STROKE" ....never push down ...she might kick back into your face....you can use a 6v starter like you have ,it will work on 12v,just don't turn on it for long periods of time.....say to the slow count to 10.........
