I use a front mount snow blower. They are a lot more complicated to attach/remove than the rear 3 pt machines,but in hard drifted snow most tractors have a slower 1st grear than reverse. Have found a lot of situations where I could slowly work through 2-3 ft of hard drifted snow in 1st where It would power out in reverse which moves 2X speed.
