kydavid is right. Saying "standard hydraulic oil" is like saying "standard beef", there is a big difference between flank steak and porterhouse. I don't know about your area NH dealers but I sell my 5 gal pails of 134 for $27.34 which is on par for any premiun tractor fluid. Oils additive packages are engineered to be compatible with the seals and adhesives used by the equipment company. At least once a year we get in a tractor that somebody has tried to "save a few bucks" by buying cheapie fluid and the repiar bill always ammount to at least lifetimes "savings".
