It means hemispherical heads. In other words the cylinder head is not flat at the top of the cylinder but has a cup shaped indentation giving you extra room for a bigger combustion. Chrysler made a 426 cid engine that had 1 hp for every cubic inch. I believe it came stock with 2 four barrel carbs, Holley 650's I think. Real gas eater.
