What happened to Jacobsen?

Hi all: My neighbor has two big Jacobsen golf course tractors with Ford Diesels in them. They are Reel mowers with wings that lower for a total twenty foot cut. It is front wheel drive with dualies - looks like a truck differential/axle. Steers in the back. It is definitely a good size machine with a ton of hydraulics for all the wings. If it isn't a totally stupid move, I'd like to get one to cut down on my five acre mowing time. Key questions for the board members: Who bought the company?
Are parts readily available?
Are these good reliable mowers? (are reel mowers best?) Thanks in advance, your answers will probably breed more questions.
