The oil is thicker when it is cold,and you will always see a decrease in pressure when motor warms up. Make sure you are using the correct wt. oil for your engine. Five lbs ideling is a little low, You need to see what it is in normal operation under a load. At least you have some pressure. On some engines oil pressure is adjustable, check your manual.
