I went to the Case/IH/Ford/New Holland/Kubota/etc. dealer today and talked to the service manager about the spark plug sichyashun. He tells me that the problem is not with the spark plugs. It is because the engine needs a valve job with new seats, etc. Part of the problem is the unleaded gas, too. He also tried to tell me that I probably had poor compression which made it start hard and that exacerbates the plug fouling problem. I quickly put the lie to that possibility as the thing fahrs right up on the first turn of the engine. They don't sell any other plugs than Champeen so I stopped at a parts store on the way home but they had already closed early for NYE. Tomorrow I'll see about replacing the plug wahrs and see if that makes a difference.
