If you're under 26,000 GVW, and a private carrier you should be all right. I've hauled tractors all over the place, including Iowa, w/out a problem. If you want to be extra safe put a "Private Carrier" sign on vehicle. Also my trailer and truck are registered as farm vehicles but no body every questioned that either. The only time I was ever stopped was in Arkansas. The State Trooper was only currious about the MD 10-20 I was hauling.
