That's one of those "it depends": I have 2 trailers that are 20' with 5' dove tails. One has tandem axles and one with tandems with duals. The trailer with the single wheel tandems (2- 7500# axles) has 3" cross channel at 30" intervals and weighs in the neighborhood of 3300# (depends on the flat, I have a new white oak flat that looses weight as it cures). The other trailer has 4" cross channel @18" intervals and a heavier I beam vs. c channel main frame. It weighs almost 7000#
