The Serial number is located on the right frame rail where the tranny crossmember is for the V model, the A,BF,BG,and R are on the right frame rail stamped in it. It'll say somthing like 4A786-1945 model 7A305-1946 9A867-1947 13A427-1948 17A456-1949 19A366-1950 These are for the A model, The BF are as follows R500-1950, R1839-1951, R4460-1952 model, The BFW was built one year the serial number is R6538-was 1953 model, The BFD was 57700001 also built one year 1953, The BFS is 57600001 1953 also, BFH 58000001 1953 also, BG (Offset) 57900001-1953,57900601-1954,57900769-1955, The model R is R500-1950, R1839-1951 model. Now the v Model 1V5-1946 model, 1V144-1947 model, 2V577-1948 model, 4V490-1949 model, 5V501-1950 model, 6V207-1951 model, 6V422-1952 model. Minneapolis Moline Bought out avery in I think 1950 or 1951 and painted them yellow. We have a V 1951 Model that is yellow and it has a hurcules engine on it. I think it is an IXB I'm not sure without looking. Hope this helps you and the abbrev. on these like BFH is High Crop and so on.
