What Size Tractor?

I am new to tractors and would like to buy my first old tractor. I am looking for a project to tinker on in my garage and learn more about tractor repair. I have some land that I would like landscape and had some dirt trucked in to fill some low spots. The question is how big of a tractor & Loader should I be looking at?. I like the looks of the ford 8N ,but will this be big enough to lift dirt?
