I pull with a dodge 3/4 ton 4x4w/cummins, I have a 5 sp, I think if it were an auto I would want the powerstroke from what I have picked up from other people that use them , seems the power stroke has a wider rpm range, my cumins has the same grunt from 1400 to 2100,then there is no noticable increase,I pulled previous 7500# camper 6000 miles in 1 trip ,never hit a hill that I had to come out of 4th gear, 5th is overdrive, and I averaged 13.6 mpg the whole trip
