Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, my family was sleeping just like a mouse. I looked at my watch and midnight was near, i hope Santa finds me another John Deere! The kids were all sleeping, the girls and the boys, we'd just finshed wrapping their new John Deere toys. My wife lay in bed, said turn out the light, you can play with their toys on some other cold night. Then out in the yard, come a loud popping sound. From the bed to the window away i did bound. In the noonlight it sparkled! I looked out to see that no one had started my 620 standard. I looked high and looked low, what's causing that sound? Then out near the road but what should appear. A big wooden sleigh pulled by 8 old John Deeres! They pulled to the yard and circled my truck. An A, a B, a G, and an R, A big old 830, a diesel at that, it scared my old dog and just missed the cat. A little old H and a big 720, A waterloo Boy, now that is worth plenty. They drove through the snow, what a beautiful site. A parade of 8 Deere on Christmas eve night. The sled full of gifts, the bag a whopper! Who needs reindeere when you've got Johnny Popper! The chimney too small for the big bag, so they left us all gifts in a stack on the ground. Then off they all started, way down the long road. Eight 2 cylinder Deere with a gift giving load. Then i heard them call out as they popped out of site. Nothing runs like a Deere! Marry Christmas, Good night!

You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o
